Healing the land with a spirit of excellence. At WFI, that is our mission. We have a strong vision for using World Feeder Bermuda Grass and progressive grass farming techniques for reclaiming polluted and contaminated land of various types.

Land Reclamation

We have seen many different applications of World Feeder Bermuda Grass for reclaiming polluted land and related situations. Here are just a few examples:

• A rancher had converted an old airfield into a grazing operation. There was a high concentration of old asphalt chunks in the soil. World Feeder was established easily and turned the land into highly productive pasture.
  
  
• Based on our work with the USDA, oil companies have conducted land reclamation experiments using World Feeder on farmland that has been destroyed by saltwater contamination. The results were the same: World Feeder grows well in salty land, regardless of how the salt got there.
  
  
• We have worked with various corporations that have contaminated water being produced by various manufacturing processes (such as peach pulp water from a canning operation). World Feeder has demonstrated a very high tolerance to water than would normally be toxic for any other crop.
  
  
• Of course, the largest land reclamation problem worldwide is the presence of salt-contaminated land and that is where we see World Feeder having the most to offer.
  
  
• But the potential of using irrigation water that is normally too saline to be productive is almost as exciting in its various potential applications!
